Admission Information

Admission Deadline: “Upto 01 February 2022

 

  • Minimum GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC Examinations or at least one GPA of 2.00 with an aggregate GPA of 6.00 in SSC and HSC or
  •  Candidates must have passed University of London and Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level in at least five subjects and ‘A’ Level in at least two subjects. Only the best five subjects in ‘O’ Level and best two subjects in ‘A’ Level will be considered. Out of these seven subjects, a candidate must have at least 4B’s or GPA of 4.00 in the four subjects and 3 C’s or GPA of 3.5 in the remaining three subjects. (in the scale of A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 and E=1)
  •  At least 2 years of job experience with Bachelor degree or 4-year Bachelor (Honors) degree required for EMBA.
  • Candidates seeking admission to LL.M should have at least LL.B (Hons) degree from any recognized university.
  •  The candidates applying for Master programs must have minimum GPA 2.00 or equivalent results at the Bachelor level.

  • Three passport-sized color photographs, duly signed by student.
  • Photocopies of –
    SSC or its equivalent/O-level marks sheet,
    SSC or its equivalent /O-level certificate (if available),
    HSC or its equivalent /A-level marks sheet,
    HSC or its equivalent /A-level certificate (if available),
  • Copy of Graduation/Masters Transcript/Certificate
  • Copy of applicant’s birth certificate/ NID.
  • Copy of Applicant’s/Guardian’s National ID card
  • Required Job Certificates for EMBA applicant

A student, who is dismissed once from the university, will not be considered for re-admission. However, consideration may be given to case by case, based on medical/emergency reasons that are acceptable to TUB authority.

Application of re-admission should be submitted to the Registrar, through the Head of the department and the decision on the appeal for re-admission will be subject to university rules as framed from time to time.

A written recommendation for re-admission must be submitted by the parents (physically) along with the application, stating the valid causes of drop.

Without a written recommendation of parents and without the physical attendance of parents, no application for re-admission will be considered.

Fee of re-admission is Tk. 10,000 BDT.

Times University Bangladesh welcomes international students and makes every effort to assist them to get admitted in its academic programs, special consideration is given to the students from SAARC countries, South and South-East Asia. Anyone satisfying the eligibility criteria for admission is welcome to apply. Foreign nationals currently living in Bangladesh may also take the opportunity to join in the different programs. The tuition fees and other charges of the programs are at a reasonable level. The cost of living in Bangladesh is one of the lowest in the SAARC region. Our campus is situated mainly in Faridpur the southern part of the country. The cost of accommodation and meals will be approximately US$ 100 per month. The applicants from abroad must obtain valid VISA to study at TUB. Responsibility of getting a VISA from Bangladesh High Commission/Consulate concerned lies with the students. All fees and charges involved for issuance of VISA or extension of VISA should be borne by the incumbent students.    

Times University Bangladesh (TUB), one and only private university in Faridpur, was founded in 2013 under the Private University Act 2010 with a vision to create a global higher education center of excellence. Efficient administration of TUB is capable of solving problems quickly and effectively. The Vice Chancellor, the Dean, the Advisor, the Registrar, the Exam Controller and the Departmental Heads take care of administrative and academic affairs.

Examination is taken in a transparent way and according to the rules of University Grants Commission & also conducted in a strict fashion.

Though the quality of education hope is high, the tuition fees of TUB are comparatively less (considering all types of facilities for the students) among the private universities in Bangladesh.

Payment System: 

Mode of payment of tuition and other fees is convenient. Students can pay their fees in several installments.

Comfortable Classroom & Computer Labs: 

Classrooms are neat and clean and air-conditioned with comfortable seating arrangement. All the rooms carry multimedia projectors and proper ventilations and lights. Labs are well facilitated.

ICT Facilities:

TUB is going to be a complete digital university in Bangladesh by enhancing its technology-based education and operation with facilities such as computer labs, modern ICT based class rooms, education ERP and WIFI on campus. Faculty members as well as students enjoy Wifi connectivity inside the campuses to be connected with the internet in a wink.

Online Teachers Evaluation: 

TUB students can evaluate their course teachers from anywhere on the campus. It is a compulsory process. Online evaluation ensures transparency of the evaluation. Teachers feel accountability to enhance their status so that they can get a good marking on the students’ part. Ultimately, this process increases quality education.

e-Learning:

TUB has initiated another effective communication tool between teachers and students regarding academic interaction named “Moodle”.

e-Library: 

TUB has introduced e-library for its students. Any TUB student can be registered at the e-library. All registered students may get international reference books as well as local books through the internet.

Online Notice Board:

TUB publishes all notices and announcements on the “Notice Board” of TUB website. As a result, all TUB students can get notices and announcements from any corner of the world and remain up to date.

Center for Career Development (CCD):

CCD is performing a pivotal role to ensure job and internship placement for the students of the University. CCD is also responsible for arranging workshops, training programs, seminars, symposiums, job fairs at intra-university and inter-university level on a regular basis for the professional development of students.

Centre for Research, Innovation and Transformation (CRIT):

It is a unique center that emphasizes scientific research and analysis, development and acquisition and systems engineering and integration. The University aims to leverage its “size, diversity, and interdisciplinary culture into competitive advantages that lead to reputation gains.” The purpose of the university is not concentrated only on disseminating knowledge but also to create new knowledge and innovation.

Co-curricular Activities:

It has a lot of co-curricular activities for the students performed under 10 different clubs. TUB encourages students to be involved in co-curricular activities in order to empower them to attain knowledge, managerial skills and real-life experiences by which they can meet the real needs of the current world.

Discipline:

TUB is a completely disciplined educational environment. It is free from politics, smoking, drug, copying, eve teasing and other subversive acts and ethics.

Foundation Day: 

TUB also celebrates Foundation Day every year.

Auditorium:

TUB has an auditorium namely TUB Auditorium with seating arrangement of almost 300 people. The auditorium is regularly used to conduct all seminars, symposium, cultural programs and many other co-curricular programs.

Events: 

TUB arranges business festivals, education fairs, project fairs, business talk shows, debate competitions, photo exhibitions etc on a regular basis in & outside campus.

Guardian Communication: 

For the betterment of the students, TUB communicates with the guardians and informs them about their students, if needed.

Special Counseling for Weak Students:

If it is identified that few students are not getting marks up to a satisfactory level, TUB faculty members support them, especially to improve their performance.

Religious Events: 

TUB observes all religious programs and arranges various religious events (e.g. Iftar Party, Miladunnabi, Sarwaswati Puja, Xmass) on the campus. It develops a brotherhood among the students and teachers in and outside the campus as well.

Corporate Social Responsibilities:

TUB contributes regularly to anti-tobacco and anti-acid campaigns. We contribute a part of our salary to the needy people and also distribute warm clothes among winter affected people. Free blood donation and tree plantation are some of the CSR of TUB.

Alumni Association:

TUB Alumni Association is responsible for maintaining a network of ex-students of the University. A wide variety of programs and events in support of the University are organized throughout the year. It is a common practice here at TUB that alumni students in top tiers of the corporate world come up with various opportunities for the current and future students by means of internship, placement and sharing of knowledge.
