Admission Requirements For Undergraduate Programs
Minimum requirements for Programs:
- For all Engineering programs (BS in CSE, EEE, ETE and CEE) of School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, candidates must have –
- Math and Physics with minimum B grade in HSC OR
- Math & Physics with minimum C & E grade respectively in A-Levels OR
- Math and Physics with minimum C grade in O-Levels AND must have Math or Physics with minimum C grade in A-Levels to be eligible to apply.
- For B.Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture) program, candidates must have Math or Physics with minimum B grade in HSC or C grade in A-Levels to be eligible to apply.
- For Biochemistry and Microbiology, candidates must have Biology and Chemistry at SSC/HSC or O/A-levels to be eligible to apply.
- For BPharm Professional, candidates must have Biology & Chemistry, with, minimum B grade in HSC and C grade in A-levels and should have done Physics in HSC/A-levels to be eligible to apply [Note: For BPharm professional (i) apply within two years after passing HSC/A-Levels. (ii) apply for Spring and Summer session only]
Minimum Qualifications for admission test:
- 1. Academic Qualifications:
- Combined GPA of 8.0 in both SSC and HSC with minimum GPA 3.5 in each OR
- GCE O-Levels and A-Levels: Minimum GPA 2.5 in five subjects in O-Levels and GPA 2.0 in two subjects in A-Levels; in the scale of scale A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1. (only one E, either O or A-Levels is acceptable) OR
- US High School Diploma, IB Diploma Programme (IB-DP) or equivalent
- Academic qualification other than the above need to contact Admissions Office to check the eligibility.
- Foreign applicants should send their academic transcripts and name of two referees for initial screening to admissions@northsouth.edu. After verification, Admissions Office will contact with them about their eligibility for admission.
Admission Requirements For Graduate Programs
Master of Business Administration (MBA):
- A minimum of 15 years of schooling prior to MBA. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. (Please note that two-year BA/B.Sc./B.Com degrees do not fulfill the 15-year schooling requirement; a master’s degree will be required in such cases).
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class in all exams.
- Qualifying in NSU admission test or minimum score of 550 (CBT 213) in both TOEFL & GMAT.
Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA):
- A four-year Bachelor or a three-year Honors degree or a Master’s degree in any discipline
- At least Second Class in all exams or a minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale
- At least three years of continuous work experience as executive. Candidates with a two-year Bachelor’s degree will require five years of executive experience to be eligible for admission.
MS in Economics:
- At least a Second Class either in the Bachelor (Hons.) or Master degree in Economics or in relevant disciplines from any recognized university.
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class in all exams
Master in Development Studies (MDS):
- A four-year Bachelor’s or a three-year Honors or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Environmental Studies, Social Welfare, Statistics, Engineering or other related disciplines.
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class in all exams.
Master of Laws (LL.M):
- B from any recognized university.
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class in all exams
MS in Computer Science and Engineering (MSCSE):
- A four-year bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology or any computer related areas from an accredited public or private university in Bangladesh or abroad with a grade point average of at least 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale).
- A three-year bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology or any computer related areas from an accredited public or private university in Bangladesh or abroad with a grade point average of at least 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale) may be admitted on condition that at least 15 credits of foundation courses from the undergraduate curriculum must be completed at NSU in order to be a regular student in the MS in Computer Science & Engineering program.
- Minimum grade point average of 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale)
- A score of 1100 in the Quantitative and Verbal part of GRE General Test is acceptable to waive NSU admission text.
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one must from the faculty members of the last institution attended.
MS in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (MSETE):
- A four-year bachelors or equivalent degree in mathematics, applied physics, engineering, computer science & engineering, and information & communication technology from an accredited public or private university in Bangladesh or abroad with a grade point average of at least 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale) or minimum of 2nd class in BSc-Hons/MSc.
- A three-year bachelor’s or equivalent degree in mathematics, applied physics, engineering, computer science & engineering, and information & communication technology or any related areas from an accredited public or private university in Bangladesh or abroad with a grade point average of at least 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale) or minimum of 2nd class (55% marks) in BSc(Hons)/MSc may be admitted on condition that at least 15 credits of remedial courses must be completed at NSU in order to be a regular student in the MS in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering program.
- Minimum grade point average of 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale).
- A score of 1100 in the Quantitative and Verbal part of GRE General Test is acceptable to waive NSU admission text
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one must from the faculty members of the last institution attended
MS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (MSEEE):
- The students who have completed B.S. in EE/EEE/ETE/ECE are eligible to apply for admission in EEE Master Program. The students who do not hold a B.S. degree in EE/EEE/ETE/ECE but obtained B.S. degree in other engineering program/Applied Physics may enroll in the MS in Electrical Engineering Program provided that they complete the remedial courses required by the Department. Please contact the ECE program office to know details of these remedial courses.
- Minimum grade point average of 2.75 (in the 4.0 scale).
- A score of 1100 in the Quantitative and Verbal part of GRE General Test is acceptable to waive NSU admission text

MA in English: Language, Literature, TESOL:

MS in Biotechnology:
- Graduation in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Agriculture & Fisheries. MBBS, BDS, MD or equivalent degree in Medical & Applied Health Sciences
MS in Environmental Science and Management (MESM):
- A four-year Bachelor’s degree with good academic standing
- Experience in environment related field carries an added value
- Special arrangement is available for foreign students
- Students of all disciplinary background are encouraged to apply
- A minimum CGPA of 75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class (45% or above) in all exams
- Qualifying in NSU admission test or minimum score of 500 (paper based) in both TOEFL and GRE
MPharm in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm PCP):
- Pharm degree with minimum CGPA 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
MPharm in Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics (MPharm PTB):
- Pharm degree with minimum CGPA 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
Master of Public Health (MPH):
- MBBS, BDS or equivalent professional degree in medical sciences (dentistry, alternate medicine, homeopathy, Unani), or
- A four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university in humanities, life sciences, social/natural sciences, anthropology and psychology, or
- Master’s degree in health related subject or in any social science, management and other science subjects, or
- A two-year graduation in nursing from any recognized university after duly completing four-year registered nursing course from government recognized institution.
- A minimum CGPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale or at least Second Class in all exams
Executive Master of Public Health (EMPH):
- Minimum five-year professional experience in related field
- MBBS, BDS or equivalent professional degree in medical sciences (dentistry, alternate medicine, homeopathy, Unani), or
- Four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university in humanities, life sciences, social/natural sciences, anthropology and psychology, or

Admission Test Procedure For Undergraduate Programs
Test date Instruction:
- All candidates must bring one original photo ID (Passport or NID or HSC Registration Card)
- All candidates must report at least 30 min before the admission test
- Cell phone, digital watch, calculator, tab, camera and hand bag will not be allowed at the exam hall
- All candidates should bring pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers etc
Admission Test Duration:
- A two-and-an-half-hour Admission Test consisting of English grammar & vocabulary, Quantitative Aptitude (General Math), Reading comprehension and Composition.
In addition, there will be a 30-minutes drawing test for the Bachelor of Architecture candidates.
The Quantitative Aptitude part of the Admission Test requires the ability to solve SSC/O-levels math problems.
- A two-and-an-half-hour Admission Test consisting of English grammar & vocabulary, Quantitative Aptitude (General Math), Reading comprehension and Composition.
Following documents of the successful candidates will be needed at the time of Admission.

- (b) HSC/A-levels mark sheet and certificate (if available)

Admission Test Waived Policy
Admission test is waived for local and foreign eligible candidates with
i. SAT Score 1150 (New) or 1700 (Old) OR
ii. Minimum score of 1000 (New) or 1500 (Old) in SAT AND 500 in TOEFL (CBT 213/IBT79) / IELTS 5.5

- All the students have to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 to continue the Tuition Fee Waiver.
- *Other than cases of 100% Waiver, a Cap of 60% waiver shall be applied for the rest.
Transfer Students Policy
Transfer students (those with previous college credits) are expected to have at least a 2.0 (C) GPA in all college level courses to be considered for admission to the University. Catalogs and official transcripts from previously attended colleges and universities must be furnished with the application for admission. Failure to provide either will disqualify the applicant. To be official, transcripts must be sent directly from each college attended to the NSU Registrar’s Office. Hand carried transcripts and transcripts sent by students are unofficial, even though they may carry the college seal or signatures that are placed on official records.
Non-degree Students
Applicant’s who have not participated in formal education for some time or applicants who do not intend to become candidates for a degree may register for credits in undergraduate courses as non-degree students. Applicants are admitted as non-degree students on a semester by semester basis without any obligation to continue. Such students may apply at any time for transfer to a degree program with/without the credits earned as non-degree students. Non degree students may obtain transcripts reflecting credits for the semester(s) attended. A transcript fee will be charged.
Non Degree Admission process:

> After approval you have to complete the online application form (application fee BDT. 1500.00)
> Complete your payment (BDT. 11,000.00) for admission as a Non Degree student
Credit Transfer Policy
A student may transfer a maximum of 60 credits earned at previously attended colleges and universities toward NSU degrees. Transcripts from all previously attended institutions must be submitted. Only credits on which a student has earned the grade C or above will be transferable to NSU. For purposes of transferring credits, Directors of programs and Chairs of departments will determine equivalence of courses and may also refer cases to the Equivalence Committee if needed. Transferred credits and grades are not included in calculating the GPA at NSU.

Admission of International Applicants
For purposes of admission, all persons who are not citizens or permanent residents of Bangladesh are defined as international applicants. In most cases international applicants seeking admission into NSU must meet the same academic standards for admission, as those required for native students. There are wide variations; however, between educational systems throughout the world that makes exact comparison of educational standards difficult.
International applicants are selected on the basis of their prior academic work, English proficiency, probability of success in the chosen curriculum (as evidenced by prior work in the academic area involved), and certification of adequate financial resources.

Why Study at North South University (NSU)
Support from the OEA:
The OEA’s primary responsibility is to support the international students and faculty members so that their stay in Bangladesh remains as hospitable as possible. The OEA also supports alumni of NSU and keep them informed about and interested in the development of their alma mater and its reputation. Thus, the team of OEA works 5 days a week to help assist the international students and faculty members. The OEA also has a dedicated student hour so that the office can give full devotion to the problems faced by the students. Therefore, the international students are requested to come during the following hours:

- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- By special appointment (which has to be made at least a day before)
NSU Library:
North South University (NSU) Library grew over the years since 1992 and now has become one of the best university libraries in the country. This is the first fully automated library in the country using Bi-lingual Library Management System, developed by NSU Library, which supports MARC-21, web-based online circulation, browse databases of books, CDs, journals, newspapers, and magazines, full-text online books and journals, develop institutional repositories, auto email alert services, etc. The users can check their borrowing status, renew issued resources and reserve books for 48 hours through the library website. The NSU library has over 70,000 square feet (6,500 m2) floor area on the southeastern side of the campus. The library can accommodate over 1,200 students in its reading rooms. On average 2,000 students use the library every day. The library hours are:

Bookstore:
NSU has a bookshop located on level #1 of Administrative Building (beside Information Desk). The bookshop was inaugurated in 2016 by the then Chairman of Board of Trustees, Mr. M. A. Kashem. The NSU Bookshop has many books, let it be for academic or leisure reading. The students can even pre-order books that are not available in the bookshop.

NSU Sports & Fitness Center:
NSU Sports & Fitness Center with Multipurpose Gym, Basketball Court & Gallery located in student amenities area is for the students, faculty and staff members. The Sports & Fitness Center is staffed with trained Fitness Associates and Fitness Supervisors to ensure the safety of participants and assist in basic exercise selection or performance that needs to be supervised. The hours of the NSU Fitness & Sports Center are every day (Sunday-Saturday) from 8:00 AM- 8:00 PM.

Medical Center:
NSU has a medical center which is located on level #4, South Academic (SAC) Building to provide the medical facilities to the students, teachers, and others. List of services are as below:
- Medical consultation and refer patients to specialize doctor as and when required.
- First Aid treatment to all NSU employees.
- Emergency management of the patient and evacuate to the nearest hospital if required by NSU Ambulance.
- Supply of emergency medicine to patients in case of emergency.
- Ensure proper nursing to patients when needed.
- Check and verify medical documents of students for semester drop and refund.
- Check and verify medical documents of officials and staff of NSU.
- Attend emergency patients within the NSU Campus as and when required.

NSU has a Student Counselling Center where students can seek help and guidance from professional psychologist and counselor. The services the Student Counseling Center provides are:

NSU Canteen:
NSU is in the process of revamping the canteen for the students, faculty members and staff of NSU. For the time being, there are a couple of food shops where the students can purchase halal food to consume. The canteen is located on level #1 on the south-east side of NSU where different types of food are available at an affordable cost.
Student Lounge:
NSU has Student Lounges where students can gather, study and relax in between classes. The lounges are equipped with comfortable furniture and TV. There are two student lounges in NSU. The Boy’s Lounge is located on level #1, South Academic (SAC) Building and the Girl’s Lounge is located on level #1, North Academic (NAC) Building.
ATM (Automated Teller Machine) Booths:
NSU has ATM Booths for all the valid cardholders. Through this, anyone can perform financial transactions, such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfer funds, or obtaining account information, at any time and without the need for direct interaction with bank staff. It is located on the South side of the campus, right beside the NSU Canteen entrance.
Wi-Fi:
Throughout the campus, NSU has a Wi-Fi connection available. Just connect to ”NSU Students’ to use the Wi-Fi.
NSU Resource:
NSU Resource is located on the 5th floor of the Library Building. NSU Resource is for the students where they can print academic materials using the computers. The students are also allotted 200 pages each semester for printing.

Financial Aid is monetary assistance from institutional, governmental, or private source that is available to assist students in affording educational costs. This Financial aid could be in the form of academic scholarships, tuition waiver, study loans, and student employment.
Financial aid/ Scholarship is available at NSU to help you pay your university costs.
How you will pay for your education is sometimes an important part of deciding which institution you will attend. Financial Aid Office (FAO) of North South University understands student’s need and plan for their future career. We also understand that many families need help for filling in the gap between what they can afford and the resources needed to pay university education costs. NSU attaches a high priority to financial aid/ scholarship and the university has a standing commitment to meet the financial need of eligible students. The comprehensive FINANCIAL AID/ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM of North South University is administered by a high-powered Financial Assistance Committee (FAC) generally consists of panel of members of the Board of Trustees and high officials of the University.
The NSU student aid program, which encouraged the students to apply for monetary help if they believe that they will need assistance in order to attend North South University. FAO is presently consists of 6 (six) members headed by Director, FAO started its operation from 1993 being responsible for corresponding, coordinating and organizing the overall FINANCIAL AID/ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM to the students. A total of 1482 students have enjoyed full/partial tuition waiver in Spring 2021 semester, out of which, 459 students granted full (100%) waiver including 230 wards of freedom fighters, 154 students 75%, 431 students 50% and 438 students received 25% tuition waiver. In the year 2020, total 4874 students have been granted full/partial financial aid. NSU also allowed 1363 children of freedom fighters to study under full free studentships complying with Private University Act 2010. Moreover, a total grant of Tk. 116 crore has been disbursed as a COVID Special Waiver to all students in the wake of Pandemic (Summer’20-Summer’21) excluding regular tuition waiver to students. In the way to help needy and meritorious students and for the socioeconomic development of the country, NSU has disbursed a significant amount of Tk. 257 crore (approximately) as financial assistance since inception to Summer 2021 semester.

Types of Financial aid/ Scholarship available at North South University
Financial aid reflects the University’s commitment to a student community that is broadly diverse in terms of race, geography, gender, special skills and talent. NSU offers Financial aid/ Scholarship to students under the provision of Private University Act 2010, where students of NSU can apply in the following categories:
- Financial Aid for the wards of freedom fighters (WoFF) of liberation war
(Quota based waiver). - Financial Aid based on previous academic attainment and admission test result
(Merit based tuition waiver/ scholarship). - Financial Aid based on high academic achievement at NSU (Merit based tuition waiver/ scholarship).
- Financial Aid based on financial NEED of a student (based on
humanitarian ground). - Financial Aid based on Need and Merit of a student (Merit-Need based waiver/ scholarship).
- Financial Aid based on siblings study together at NSU.
- Financial Aid in the form of student employment at NSU (Work-Study
based).
Financial Aid Eligibility
Who are eligible for Financial aid at North South University?
North South University awards financial aid in the form of full/partial tuition waiver only to the deserving students who achieve and maintain outstanding academic track records as mentioned below:
- Undergraduate applicants securing top 10 position in the NSU admission test get full tuition waiver (100%).
- GPA 5.00 (excluding 4th Subject) in either SSC or HSC and at least GPA 4.80 in the other (excluding 4th Subject) with satisfactory NSU Admission Test Performance.
- Candidates who earn 7 ‘A’s in O-level exams and 3 ‘A’s in A-level having satisfactory NSU Admission Test Score.
- MBA and MPH applicants securing highest score in the NSU admission test are entitled to 50% tuition waiver upon admission.
- NSU graduates, with CGPA 3.80 at undergraduate level would be entitled to 50% tuition waiver upon his/her admission in any graduate level students at NSU.
- General students of NSU seeking financial aid must fulfill the minimum criteria i.e. the undergraduate students must complete minimum 9 credits and maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and graduate students 3.25 with 6 Credits.
- Aid for Siblings: Financial assistance is also available for siblings i.e. if two brothers or two sisters or one brother and one sister, whatever may be the case, have been studying at NSU, they would be entitled to 25% tuition waiver each subject to eligibility and they must apply formally during usual aid process.
- Freedom Fighter Quota: Students availing freedom fighter quota must apply formally enclosing with the following documents/details as per requirement of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs:
a) Copy of Offer Letter (Applicable for Newly Admitted Students only).
b) Attested copy of Provisional Certificate ‘Shamoik Shonod’ or ‘BAMUSH Shonod’ of the freedom fighter.
c) Attested copy of Bangladesh Govt. Gazette of the freedom fighter.
d) Attested copy of ‘Lal Muktibarta’ of the freedom fighter.
e) Attested copy of the National ID Card (NID) of the freedom fighter.
f) Attested copy of the Birth certificate or SSC certificate of the freedom fighter.
g) Attested copy of the Birth certificate of the student.
h) Attested copy of the SSC/HSC certificate/Passport/NID Card of the student.
i) Financial Aid Application Form (Available at Prime Bank Ltd., Bashundhara Branch, Dhaka Only).
Entitlement of freedom fighter quota is subject to verification from the concerned Ministry. FAO deals with the cases on first come first served basis. However, priority may be given to the children of freedom fighter who are Orphan, children of deceased/wounded freedom fighter or whose parents are critically ill. Continuation of freedom fighter facility is subject to satisfactory academic performance at NSU. Graduate students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and Undergraduate students 2.75 at all time for the wards of freedom fighter.
Applicants of freedom fighter quota can apply in all semesters during admission.
However, students in all the above cases must apply for financial aid formally. The authority may review and change the above conditions from time to time. Continuation of getting such tuition waiver is subject to his/her academic performance and other financial aid policy of NSU as applicable.
Financial Aid Calendar
When to apply for Financial aid and How?
Applications for financial aid are invited from bonafide & eligible students of NSU in every Spring and Summer semester through well-circulated notification. Students seeking financial aid should apply in prescribed APPLICATION FORM available at Prime Bank Bashundhara Branch, Dhaka upon payment of Tk. 1000.00 (one thousand) only. Other than freedom fighter quota and candidates of admission test, In Fall semester, no applications are invited from the student of NSU, while academic progress and performance of the students are reviewed and evaluated. Application should be filled-up properly and submitted to the FAO of the University with necessary/relevant documents within the deadline. Deadline for financial aid application is announced and notified in due time.
Spring Semester (January to April) : Applications are invited in 1st Week of January
Summer Semester (May to August) : Applications are invited in 1st Week of May
Fall Semester (September to December): Performance and eligibility are reviewed
(Freedom fighter quota and Admission Test based waiver are offered in all semester).
Maintenance
How to maintain Financial aid/ Scholarship at NSU?
Once students have been awarded financial aid/ scholarship, s/he must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress in academic calendar at NSU in order to maintain the facility of award. As a general rule, undergraduate/graduate students are considered to hold satisfactory academic progress if they achieve and maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.75 (for undergraduate program) and 3.25 (Graduate Program) respectively. Undergraduate recipients of 50% and 75% tuition waiver will have to maintain a CGPA of 3.00 to continue tuition waiver. 100% financial aid/ scholarship recipients (meritorious students) must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.25 or above. Students should also fulfill other conditions to enjoy financial aid. Financial aid facility once discontinued, the student may reapply for financial aid as a fresh applicant. Financial aid/ scholarship will automatically be renewed if s/he fulfills the criteria of financial aid/ scholarship requirements. Financial aid/ scholarship recipients can also apply for enhancement of their financial waiver.
The recipients/awardees must contact the Financial Aid Office in every semester during Advising/Registration process. They must collect their respective registration (Advising) sheet every semester after necessary verification and adjustment of tuition waiver from FAO. We review and verify academic performance of recipients every semester against financial aid policies and coordinate with Accounts office accordingly. Aid recipients should pay Tk. 500 (five hundred) every semester in order to renew their waiver facility from semester to semester.
Policies & Guidelines
Financial aid/ Scholarship – “POLICIES & GUIDELINES”
- The minimum eligibility for applying and to maintain financial aid, the undergraduate students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and graduate students 3.25.
- Undergraduate recipients of 50% and 75% tuition waiver will have to maintain a CGPA of 3.00 to continue tuition waiver.
- Undergraduate students must complete minimum 9 credits without non-credit course and Graduate students 6 credits to apply for financial assistance.
- An undergraduate financial aid recipient must register for at least 24 (Twenty four) credits and graduate students 18 credits in a year (3 consecutive semesters) with effect from the semester of his/her receiving financial assistance.
- If the waiver recipients withdraw any course or duly drop a semester, whatever may be the case, s/he would not get any benefit beyond the approved period for financial aid. That is, financial waiver would strictly be limited to 12 (twelve) semesters for students of all undergraduate programs except Bachelor in Pharmacy and Bachelor of Architecture, which is of 8 (eight) semesters and 16 (sixteen) semesters program respectively; For graduate program of MBA, this duration is 6 (six)semester, MS-ECO, MS in CSC/CSE/ETE/EEE/CEG, MDS, MREM/ M.PHARM. EMBA, MPH/EMPH, MA in English, MBT, MSEM is limited to 5 (five) semesters, with effect from the semester of his/her first admission. The financial aid would automatically be discontinued after this time–bar.
- Financial aid will discontinue with immediate effect if recipients are delinquent in any way or if his/her CGPA is less than the requirement or on completion of required credits for degree. Also, the aid shall automatically discontinue for unauthorized absence in any semester by the student. In any case, revival of such assistance might be considered on receipt of fresh application from the student in due course. In case of Semester drop, the student must apply to the Registrar through the respective department Chair/Head. They should also submit a copy of the said application to FAO for information.
- Financial aid would not be extended to ‘Retake’ any course i.e. if a student retakes any course, he would pay full tuition fee for that particular subject.
- 100% waiver is applicable for tuition fees only. The other fees i.e. Admission Fee, Student Activity fee, Lab fee etc. will be borne by the recipients other than WoFF. The minimum requirement of CGPA for maintaining 100% tuition waiver would be 3.25. Failure to maintain such CGPA requirement would result a reduced waiver of 50%. The waiver would be discontinued automatically, if the CGPA goes below 3.00 (Applicable for general recipients of tuition waiver).
- Applicants should apply in prescribed form along with necessary papers/documents as applicable on time.
- Undergraduate and graduate recipients who are wards of freedom fighter must register for at least 27 credits in a year (3 consecutive semesters) with effect from the semester of his/her receiving financial assistance else their waiver facility would be seized. Also, they must maintain a CGPA of 2.75 at Undergraduate and CGPA 3.00 at Graduate level studies.
- Financial assistance shall not be extended to courses that are extra to the degree requirement i.e. no tuition waiver is applicable beyond the approved credits for degree.
- Financial assistance may be extended for courses that are not part of the degree but pre-requisites for courses required for a degree i.e. ENG-102, MAT-112 and
MAT-116. - Financial assistance shall be discontinued as soon as the recipient fulfills the credit requirements for degree under the different programs run by NSU.
- The student (General applicants) must complete registration before they apply for financial aid. FAO will not be liable for their late registration.
