• GPA of at least 2.50 or 2nd Division in both the SSC and the HSC or equivalent examinations; or
• GPA of at least 2.00 either in the SSC or the HSC examination, but the total GPA in both the examinations combined must be at least 6.00; or

Admission Procedure for BBA Program:

Admission form and prospectus are available in the admission office/ reception desk. After the verification of necessary documents, the applicants are allowed to deposit the admission fees and sign on the application form to complete the admission process.

The following documents are needed at the time of admission:

• Two passport size color photographs (studio lab print with white background for ID card purpose).
• Photocopies of SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level, or equivalent examinations certificates and mark sheets/transcripts, SSC/O-Level registration card and birth certificate/ national ID card (one copy each).
• Original certificate, mark sheets/transcripts, registration card and birth certificate /national ID card must be produced for verification by the officer of BUBT in charge of admission.

1.  For the HSC or equivalent level students:

   • Science background with Mathematics and Physics at HSC or equivalent level.
   • GPA at least 2.50 or 2nd Division in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations; or
   • GPA at least 2.00 either in SSC or HSC examination, but the total GPA in both the examinations must be at least 6.00; or

2.  For the Diploma (Engineering) students:

   • Three or four years Diploma in Engineering from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) with a CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00, or
   • A Diploma recognized by BTEB with a CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00 in any engineering discipline from any recognized institute.

Admission Procedure for B. Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE):

Admission form and prospectus are available in the admission office/ reception desk. After verification of the necessary documents, the applicants are allowed to deposit the admission fees and sign on the application form to complete the admission process.

The following documents are needed at the time of admission:

• Two passport size color photographs (studio lab print with white background for ID card).
• Photocopies of certificates and marksheets/transcripts of SSC/HSC or equivalent level. SSC/ equivalent registration card, birth certificate/ national ID card (one copy each).
• Original certificates, marksheets/transcripts, registration card and birth certificate /national ID card must be produced for verification by the officer in charge of admission of BUBT.

1. For the HSC or equivalent level students:

   • Three/Four years Diploma in Engineering from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 .00 OR
   • A Diploma recognized by BTEB with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00 in any engineering discipline from a recognized institute.
   • Proof Physics, Chemistry & Maths in Diploma level is a must
   • Prospective students may need to sit for an admission test.

Admission Procedure for B. Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE):

Admission form and prospectus are available in the admission office/ reception desk. After the verification of necessary documents, the successful applicants must deposit the admission fees and sign on the application form to complete the admission process.

The following documents are needed at the time of admission:

• Two passport size color photographs (studio lab print with white background for ID card purpose).
• Photocopies of SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level/Diploma, or equivalent examinations certificates and mark sheets/transcripts, SSC/O-Level registration card and birth certificate/ national ID card (one copy each).
• Original certificates, mark sheets/transcripts, registration card and birth certificate /national ID card must be produced for verification by the officer of BUBT in charge of admission

Admission Procedure for B. Sc. in Textile:

• Other relevant Bachelor degree in which it is required to complete some additional preparatory courses (minimum CGPA 2.5).

• Original certificates and mark sheets/transcripts and SSC registration card must be produced at the time of submission of application for verification by the officer of BUBT in charge of admission.

There are provisions for scholarship, stipend and tuition fee waiver for the students in BUBT.

• Scholarships, stipends and fee waivers are awarded to a minimum of 6% students of the University on the basis of need and merit.
• 20% Waiver on Admission Fee for newly admitted students (Special Waiver).
• 10%-100% Tuition fee waiver/scholarship for poor and meritorious students.
• 25%-100% Tuition fee waiver based on the results of the SSC and HSC Examinations.
• 25%-100% Tuition fee waiver based on the semester results at BUBT.
• Special tuition fee waiver for siblings (25% each).
• 100% Waiver on Tuition Fee for Children of the Freedom Fighters.
• 25% waiver will be enjoyed by the students of Dhaka Commerce College (DCC) and 25% for Principal Kazi Faruky School & College.
• 20% waiver on Tuition fee for BUBT Students admitted in Master’s Program.

A student may transfer his credits earned at previously institution/university attended towards a BUBT degree. For this purpose transcripts from all previously attended institutions/universities must be submitted. Transfer students are expected to have at least 2.50 CGPA for undergraduate and graduate programs on a 4-point scale in all university level courses to be considered for admission at BUBT. Only those courses where the grade of the student is B and above will be considered for credit transfer. Catalogs, official transcripts and testimonials from previously attended university/universities must be furnished with the application for admission. Equivalence of courses for each transferred student will be determined by the university. The residency requirement is that at least 60 percent of credits and internship/project of 3 to 4 credits for a degree must be earned at BUBT.

We have well-equipped and state of the art library o support and facilitate the teaching, learning, and research programs of the Institute. Our library stocked with the latest books and research publications.

Wifi Campus & Halls:

We have provided WIFI facility in our campus and in both the halls. Each student, faculty member and stuffs of USET can enjoy high speed internet facility 24/7 inside of the USET campus.

The USET, in a combination with vocational and technology-based education programs, will provide a unique opportunity to introduce the ‘Poly-Tech’ type education system in the higher education sector of Bangladesh. It should be noted that the Poly-Tech Universities have worked as strong catalysts for the development and industrialization of all the developed nations. Most of the top-ranked Universities in present days are Poly-Tech or Technical Universities in advanced nations. Moreover, the USET being a privately owned institution is a step in the right direction with its ambitious courses to enrich skills at the tertiary level. The major specialties of USET are mentioned below:

• It will create higher education facilities in a combination with technical and technology-based education in a backward area like Meghna and its surrounding Upazilas. This is in line with the present Government’s policy that Universities should be decentralized and spread out to rural and semi-rural areas in order to provide opportunities to the students located in the regional and backward areas. To date, USET is the first privately owned technical University in the country. Having the plan to build in Meghna Upazila, USET is facilitating the HPM Sheikh Hasina’s dream that ‘Every Upazila would have technical education centers’.
• USET will create strong skilled manpower by introducing the so-called ‘Dual’ technical education systems existing in the EU countries. The implementation of this type of education system will be based on various problems and programs oriented subjects with practical implementation in industrial sectors and rural development.
