Admission Requirements For Undergraduate Programs (Engineering/Architecture)
FOR SSC-HSC CANDIDATES
- HSC (Science) with Math, Physics, Chemistry
- GPA in HSC: Minimum 3.5 (with additional subject)
- Sum of GPA of HSC and SSC: Minimum 8.0 (with additional subject)
FOR O & A – LEVEL
- O-level or equivalent (with at least five subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry & English)
- A-level or equivalent in Math, Physics & Chemistry with minimum equivalent GPA of 3.5
- Sum of equivalent GPA of O & A-level: Min 8.0
- Conversion Scale: A/A*=5, B=4, C=3 & D=2
Note : As per the Private University Act 2010, 3% of the total seats are reserved for sons/daughters of Freedom Fighters (FF), while another 3% for poor and meritorious candidates of Remote and Undeveloped Areas (RA).

Admission Requirements For Undergraduate Programs (BBA)
FOR SSC-HSC CANDIDATES
- Must have SSC & HSC or equivalent certificates from any discipline
- Minimum requirement: Total GPA 7.00 in SSC+ HSC (with additional subject)
- Candidates who have passed SSC or O-level or equivalent examinations in 2015 and onwards, and HSC or A-level or equivalent examinations in 2019 and onwards can apply.
- Quota for Freedom Fighter’s son/daughter and Remote & Underdeveloped areas is applicable for BBA Program.
FOR O & A – LEVEL
- Minimum five subjects in O-level and two subjects in A-level.
- Sum of equivalent GPA of O & A-level: Minimum 7.00 with at least 3.00 at any level.
- Grade equivalence: A/A*=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1.

Admission Requirements For Master in Arch./M.Sc. Engg./M. Engg. in EEE/M.S. in Mathematics
Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.0 in B.Arch./ B.Sc. Engg. and a minimum GPA of 3.50 out of 5.0 in either S.S.C. or H.S.C., but GPA not less than 2.00 in the other examination.
Admission Requirement For MBA
- Candidates must have a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Engineering, Agriculture or Medicine may also apply.
- The applicant must not have third division/class or GPA less than 2.25 in the scale of 5.00 or GPA 2.00 in the scale of 4 in more than one examination.
- Candidates having two-year Bachelor’s degree must have minimum three years of job experience in executive level. Such candidates have to complete two additional non-credit courses.
- Candidates having job experience will get preference.
Admission Requirement For EMBA
- Candidates must have a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Engineering, Agriculture or Medicine may also apply.

About Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST)
Background
The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) was founded by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an outstanding educationist and social reformer of undivided India. With his own vision of a better society, characterized by a wealth of moral and spiritual values of the highest humanism that are universally acclaimed through ages and manifested in every sphere of life social, economic and cultural; and access to education and resources, he established the Mission. His remarkable educational reforms include among others introduction of roll number system in the public examination and creating equal opportunity for education of all groups of people in the society.
Besides, he has contributed to the society by writing a large number of books covering a wide range of areas from human and social life, history, human development, literature, religion, biography, moral values etc.
Though initially charity and welfare activities were the major focus of the Mission agenda, it has expanded its arena of activities leaning towards sustainable development strategies with the passage of time since early 1980s.
The Inspiration of the University
Hazrat Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah(R) M.A., M.R.S.A., I.E.S. (1873-1965), was the Assistant Director of Public Instruction for Bengaland Assam Provinces of undivided India (1925-29).
Vision
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology was established with the aim to be a premier center of excellence in science, engineering, technology and business by creating and transferring knowledge with human values to the young generations in such a way that they, in turn, could enhance the quality of life in Bangladesh and beyond.
Mission
In order to achieve its vision, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology is engaged in developing human resources in the fields of science, engineering, technology and business to meet the ever-changing needs of the society in the perspective of the highly complex and globalized world. The curricula of the university are designed to produce quality graduates imbued with the spirit of ethical values and equipped with knowledge and skills appropriate to their professional fields. AUST graduates are taught and trained to accept the challenges in their arena of jobs and to contribute meaningfully to the society and overall development of the country.
Aims
The University aims to–
- impart need based programs of science, engineering, business and social sciences;
- offer programs covering all important fields and disciplines of science, engineering, business and social sciences including teachers’ training;
- develop programs examining the modern trends, need and development of science, engineering, business, social sciences and human resource observing carefully the employment opportunities and market needs both at home and abroad;
- organize programs in science, engineering, business and social science including teachers’ training for awarding degrees, diplomas and certificate of proficiency at all levels; and
- go for gradual expansion of departments and programs of learning as per the rules and regulations of Private University Act, 2010 and in accordance with the needs of the country and the demand abroad.
