Admission Requirements For Undergraduate Programs
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
1. The candidate must have a minimum of GPA 2.50 individually in both SSC and HSC. Alternatively, if the candidate fails to achieve the minimum GPA of 2.50 in either SSC or HSC, then he must have a total GPA of 6.00
2. For the admission of Science & Engineering related subjects, Candidate must have Mathematics in HSC with minimum GPA 2.00
3. Diploma in engineering from the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) or a diploma recognized by BTEB with a GPA of 2.50 or above, out of 4.00 may be admitted in the B.Sc Engineering program.
4. Minimum GPA of 2.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects and total GPA 6.0 according to Bangladesh University scale (A=5, B=4, C=3 and D=2). Subjects with E Grade will not be considered.
5. Candidates who have passed from abroad have to submit verified/attested copies of previous academic documents from their institute/Foreign Ministry & Equivalence Certificate from Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka.
Eligibility for admission in B. Pharm. Course:
- Candidate must have a minimum aggregate GPA 6.50 in SSC/ “O” level or equivalent and HSC/ “A” level or equivalent examinations (in a total scale of 10).
- Candidate must pass SSC/ “O” level or recognized equivalents and HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents in Science Group and obtain a minimum GPA 3.0 (in a scale of 5) without any additional subject.
- Candidate must pass HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalent examination with a minimum GPA 3.0 in Chemistry and Biology separately and a minimum GPA 2.0 in Mathematics (in a scale of 5).
- Candidate must pass HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalent examination in current year or one previous year.
- Foreign students must have passed 12 education years and got same grades in equivalent examinations from foreign recognized institutions.
- The student must pass HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents with the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
- However candidates having no Mathematics at the HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents may be admitted, but they need to take an extra 3 (three) credits course on Mathematics relevant to B. Pharm. curriculum.
- Admission should be based on competitive written test evaluations. In addition to written test, an oral test may be taken for further assessment.

Admission Requirements For Graduate Programs
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Alternatively, if the candidate fails to achieve the minimum GPA of 2.50 in either SSC or HSC, then he must have a total GPA of 6.00. For Masters, they have to get minimum CGPA 2.00 out of 4 in the Honours / Degree in addition. For EMBA, minimum 2 years job experience certificate after passing Honours / Degree results.
2. Minimum GPA of 2.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects and total GPA 6.0 according to Bangladesh University scale (A=5, B=4, C=3 and D=2). Subjects with E Grade will not be considered.

Provisional Admission
Every student must submit the required certificates and other documents at the time of admission. Applicants for admission who are not able to produce one or more documents at the time of admission may be admitted provisionally. All provisionally admitted students are required to submit appropriate documents within a given deadline as a prerequisite for Admission.
Registration Procedure
Registration:
Before the beginning of a semester (Spring/Summer/Fall), students have to register for courses in consultation with Heads of Departments/the departmental Coordinator. The students have to select the appropriate courses & pay the required fees and register on SMS (Student Management System) for the semester.
Students may pre-register for the appropriate course at any time during an academic year. They may do so only in consultation with the Heads of Departments and the departmental coordinator. In any case, students have to be eligible for admission into the Degree Programs at Bangladesh University.
General Rules of Registration
- A Registration is incomplete until taka 500 is paid for semester registration.
- A student cannot register after the scheduled date of registration mentioned in the academic calendar except by special permission of the Dean of the concerned Faculty.
- To avoid paying late fee, students must register during the scheduled registration period.
- Registration for a semester is conducted in accordance with an academic calendar. It starts immediately preceding the commencement of classes and continues up to the second week of classes.
- Transfer students are provided with the opportunity to register in advance on specific registration days meant for new students.
- Mere attendance does not constitute registration in a class.
- Changes of courses can only be made through the processing of an official registration form.
- The total fees for each semester can divided into two halves. A half shall have to be paid 15 days before the semester midterm examination and other half 15 days before the semester final examination. Total fees for each semester can also be paid in one installment in advance. A student will not be registered online until fees are paid according to the schedule given above and will not also get admit card for examination.
- Students may not drop a course merely by stopping attending classes.
Readmission & Re-registration:
A student who is in good academic standing, but who does not register in a full academic year (i.e.in three/two consecutive semesters respectively for tri-/bi- semester), will have to take re-admission paying readmission fee afresh, re-register all the courses & attend classes accordingly with ongoing batch of students paying normal semester fees & other dues, if any
Financial Assistance (Scholarships & Waivers)
- Up to 100% tuition fee waiver to those who obtained GPA of 5.0 (Golden) in SSC and HSC from Science, Arts and Commerce groups
- Physically challenged students, ethnic minority group, sibling, spouse will receive special fee waiver at various rates to be determined by the Scholarship Committee on a case-by-case basis.
- Up to 100% tuition fee waiver for freedom fighter`s son/daughter.

Undergraduate Programs Academic Requirements
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects and a total GPA of 6.0 according to the Bangladesh University scale (A=5, B=4, C=3 and D=2). Subjects with E Grade will not be considered.
- Candidates who have completed higher secondary education (12 years of schooling) under a system different from SSC/HSC or O/A-Levels will be considered for equivalence by the University on a case to case basis.
- Attested copies of certificates and transcripts from the foreign ministry of the respective country.
Graduate Programs Academic Qualifications
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects according to the Bangladesh University scale (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1). Only one E is acceptable.
- Candidates who have completed higher secondary education (12 years of schooling) under a system different from the SSC/HSC or ‘O/A’ Levels will be considered by the University on a case to case basis.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 in Bachelor’s degree.
- Attested copies of certificates and transcripts from the foreign ministry of the respective country.
