Admission Deadline: “Upto 01 February 2022“

• Minimum GPA of 2.5 each in SSC and HSC or equivalent public examinations.
• Candidates with GPA 2.00 in any examination must have minimum GPA 6.00 combined.
• In case of the ward of Freedom Fighter, at least GPA 5.00 combined in SSC/Dakhil, HSC/Alim or Equivalent Examination is required. Proof of Certificate must be submitted in this connection.
• ‘0’ Level in 5 (five) subjects and ‘A’ Level in 2 (two) major subjects with minimum ‘B’ Grade in four subjects and ‘C’ Grade in three subjects.
• For EEE/CSE programs, students must have had Physics and Mathematics in HSC/A-Level or equivalent level with fulfilling the above criteria.
• Acceptable score in EU Admission Test.

• The candidates applying for Master programs must have minimum GPA 2.00 or equivalent results at the Bachelor level and must fulfill the admission requirement for Bachelor program as per UGC’s set criteria.
• A relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized university with a GPA of 2.00 (in a scale of 4.0) or 40% marks in graduation level out of 1000 marks.
• At least 2 years of job experience with Bachelor degree or 4-year Bachelor (Honors) degree required for EMBA.

For Undergraduate Program Students

• Applicants have to bring All SSC and HSC Photocopies of Certificate/ Testimonial and Mark sheet/ Transcript during admission.
• Three (03) copies of passport size recent formal photographs.
• Birth Certificate/NID/Passport photocopy. (parents and students).
• Applicants in the Freedom Fighter category are requested to submit relevant documents.

For Undergraduate Program (Diploma Holder) Students

• Applicants have to bring All SSC and Diploma Photocopies of Certificate/ Testimonial and Mark sheet/ Transcript (From 1st to 8th Semester) during admission.
• Three (03) copies of passport size recent formal photographs.
• Birth Certificate/NID/Passport photocopy. (parents and students).
• Applicants in the Freedom Fighter category are requested to submit relevant documents.

For Graduate (Master) Program

• Applicants have to bring All (SSC, HSC and Graduation) Photocopies of Certificate/ Testimonial and Mark sheet/ Transcript during admission.

A candidate may take admission directly (without an admission test) or through an admission test and it would be physically/offline or Online.

Direct Admission

Physical/Offline process: An applicant can take direct admission based on their academic result.

• Step-01: Collect Application Form from the Admission Office by paying BDT 500/-

• Step-02: Submit the Application Form duly filled in with all academic transcript and certificates and three (03) passport size color photographs.

• Step-03: Deposit admission fees to the accounts section.

Online Direct Admission Process:

• Step-01: Please visit https://www.easternuni.edu.bd/OnlineAdmission

• Step-02: Fill-up the Application Form

• Step-03: Pay BDT 500 to bKash no. 01795711361, and collect the TrxID number

• Step-04: Provide the TrxID number

• Step-05: Submit the form online

• Step-06: Admission office will contact the candidates for further direct admission guidelines.

Admission Test

Applicants will have to appear in a written test and viva voce who has no direct admission criteria. Applicants can apply through online and offline. After applying they can collect their admit from online or offline.

Step-1 : Email the following documents to admission office :admission@easternuni.edu.bd

1. Scanned attested copy of Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary Certificate/ 12 years of schooling pre-university education certificates
2. Scanned copy of passport Information Page
3. Passport size photograph 1 copy
4. For Masters program: Scanned attested copy of Bachelor’s Transcript & Bachelor’s Certificate

Step-2 :

1. Receive the offer letter via email issued by the Registrar after it is approved by the respective department.
2. Apply for a student visa to the nearest Bangladesh Embassy. Eastern University, Admission office may assist the student in applying for the student visa. However, the student will have to manage the visa by himself/herself.

Send your flight ticket to the Admission Office (admission@easternuni.edu.bd) at least 2-days before your departure.

Step-3 : Report to the Admission office at Eastern University Campus. The Admission Office will guide you for the enrollment.

Transfer students are expected to have at least a 2.50 CGPA on a 4-point scale at the university level programs to be considered for admission to Eastern University. Catalogs and official transcripts from previously attended universities must be furnished with the application for admission. If an undergraduate student seeking transfer went through the Admission Test in his/her previous university, he/she will be waived from admission test requirement of the Eastern University. If needed, transcripts may have to be sent directly to the EU Registrar’s Office from each institution attended.

An undergraduate student may transfer (through grade transfer or exemption or a combination of both) a maximum of 35 percent of the total credit hours required for the degree in question at EU. In exceptional cases, the Equivalence Committee may, on recommendation of concerned Dean, consider extending the credits up to 40 percent.

For transfer of grade of a course, a student must have at least B grade in the course. In some cases, courses with C+ grades as per Eastern University standard may be considered for transfer or exemption. For the purpose of transferring credits, the Equivalence Committee of the University determines equivalence of courses and grades for each transfer student. The curriculum, evaluation system and grading standard of the university from which the student is transferring must be comparable to that Eastern University which reserves the right to make final decisions on transfer. Incase of any course transfer against 2 or more courses, the average grade will be shown in the EU transcript. GED/ Foundation courses will only be exempted instead of transfer.
